Rosemary Roast Chicken

2 Jan

Happy New Year!! It’s 2011~ :f_cherries:

Okay, rosemary, that’s my favorite herb for seasoning your meat! :p_leaf: :squee:

Like my all the time favorite chef’s saying, seasons the board! -rosemary, sea salt and black pepper~
And I pan fried my chicken until golden and crisp, served it with yogurt dip~ :h_love:
How about the taste? Brilliant!!

Note: One day surely I’ll have kitchen with all the herbs pots, -rosemary, thyme, basil, parsley, etc, etc.

Christmas Nabe Dinner

25 Dec

So, I spent 23rd December watching fireworks on the spa beach. :camera:
December24 is actually Christmas Eve, so I went to church, singing all the praises with all of my heart out, lit candles… Oh yeah, we also went caroling to the orphanage, :music: (although we’re freezing and singing while shivering in front of the orphanage’s doors, also trying with all our might so that the candles wouldn’t have been blown away by the strong mountain wind, :snowflake: it’s actually fun, my experience though~ :h_wink:).

Then on the December25, me and my apartment sharemateys had a nabe party, yey! :h_grin:
Look at the stacks of food, vegetables, spring onion, leek, carrot, shungiku (chrysanthemum leaves), types of mushroom, beansprout, chinese cabbage, tofu, crabstick, konyaku, meatball, pork, chicken and squid, and all of them in the kimchi sup base (delightful~!). Also have those Indonesian corn fritters, good wines, shochu, and cake~ :a_amour: What a feast! :p_rose:

Beppu Annual Christmas Fireworks 23-24 Dec

The fireworks show on Christmas in one of the Beppu’s annual events. Many visitors came, the buses are jammed packed, and the roads were congested, lolz… Beppu never this lively~
I didn’t go last year but this year I went to see it up close. Sorry for the shakky hands also slightly blurry pictures, many people bumped into me and messed up with the manual focus…

Enjoy Anyway~

Carbonara Pt.2 ;D

26 Nov

:star: :star: :star: :snowflake: :sun1: :sun1: :wing:

Remember when I said last week that I went with friend to color my hair and go shopping,
and also have a sleepover? :h_grin: :d_tea:

On that day, we spent a long time in the hair salon and ended up having a very late dinner.
The small food stand that we’d like to have a try has closed already, so we’re kinda lost of where to eat despite our rumbling stomach. (It’s nine already). But on the bright side we went to my friend’s recommendation in the end, and it was a very satisfying event. :a_amour: That night we ordered caesar salad, carbonara pizza and mushroom-bacon-cream pasta. :excited: I had wine too. That was so delicious. :h_love: The place is nice too. I was so happy to find such a great place, will visit again in the future for sure, my friend and I made a promise too. :p_rose: Truth is professors also took students there. The restaurant opens till 11pm, thinking that we wouldn’t want to be hurried up by the need to catch up on bus, I decided to stay at my friend’s place. It was late and the bus for my place is not available after 10. Turned out the sleepover inspired me for the girls’ shopping day out on the next day resulted in my dream-coat and pretty stole, and weekend shopping of my Oh-so-lovely-feather-futon, which I love so much, it’s comfortable, hot and light, truly had me rest very well.

The food were inspiringly delicious, that I made pasta for three days in a row after that.

Oh my I talked too much~ On to the picture then… :h_tongue:
Enjoy~

This is my greatest carbonara so far, ingredient-wise.
Saute onion and crispy bacon, shimeji, a bit of butter, generous cream and egg, nori and cheese topping. Please don’t start the discussion about calories… :sigh_lfs:
Up close! :h_wow:

I hope I had you drooling~ :h_sneaky: :yesh: See u on the next post~! :music:
